We wish to acknowledge and honour the Old People of this country, and the many Aboriginal groups who came here: for trade, friendship and ceremony.

Their campfires have warmed the ridges and valleys of this country for time immemorial. Their songs, stories and dances have embodied their love for this land, their Mother. So too, the stone engravings and cave paintings that abound here.

And, to tell you a secret, Aboriginal people still come here, often, to practise the oldest Lore this Earth has ever known.

And guess what? They are willing to share!

So let us acknowledge that we are blessed to live in a place of such deep cultural and spiritual significance.

Let’s learn from the old ways: love, respect, responsibility…and one more thing...fun!
